"Greetings from Steve, Bon, Gabe and Ellis. It dumped 8" on Christmas Day. The snow was exquisite. It's been very beautiful. I skied my legs off and after 4 days I can barely move. I can't wait to come back. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your condo! This mountain is fabulous. Great snow this week, long runs, no lines - what more could you ask for? We're off to Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone today for some crosscountry skiing. If you ever want to trade for a condo in Maui, let me know. Thanks again, Bonnie."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Why book with us?  We are members of the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce and we have been in business renting our Big Sky condo since Feb. 2000. Our property manager is on call 24/7. While we aren't the only ski in ski out property in Big Sky, we believe it will hard to find another one with all the Home Away From Home amenities we offer at a lower price. See our positive quest comments.

Do you offer discounts off lift tickets?
Maybe. Check back as winter gets closer.

How do I ski in and ski out? The usual way to ski out is by the Bear Back Poma lift, although, if conditions are good, you could ski down to the Thunder Wolf high speed quad. To ski back, you would take the Silver Knife run and turn right when you reach the top of the Poma lift. We are also on the free ski shuttle route. For those who'd don't want to use the Poma or ski down to Thunder Wolf, we are 1/4 mile from the main base area.

Do you have a hot tub? Unfortunately, outdoor hot tubs are not allowed by the home owners association. The Shoshone & Moonlight Basin health clubs sell daily and weekly passes to their hot tubs, pools, sauna's and workout rooms. The Shoshone is about 1/4 mile away and Moonlight is about 2 miles.

How far away is cross country skiing? A cross country trail starts about 100 steps from our front door, and down the mountain is the world class Lone Mountain Ranch.

Do I need a rental car? A rental car is more convenient, but not necessary. We are on the free shuttle route to the restaurants, shopping and groceries.

Where is the best place to shop for groceries? If you book with us, we provide a welcome document that includes all that information and much more.

Can I use my cell phone to see where I and my friends are on the ski slopes? OK, so this isn't a frequently asked question, but it is a fun thing to do. 2009 is the first year you can do this at Big Sky and Moonlight Basin. See the SatSki website for details. With SatSki, you can see where you are and where your friends are anywhere on the mountain. Plus, you can record and play back on Google earth every run you did that day. It will alao track your speed.

Do you offer last minute discounts? Sorry, but no. We also do not accept last minute bookings. The last day we will accept a booking is two weeks prior to your requested arrival.

How early should I book? People start booking usually about 6 months before the start of a season. So, ski season bookings begin around June and summer bookings around January. There is no price advantage to booking early or late. The advantage to booking early, however, is you will have a much better chance of booking the exact dates you want. The longer you wait, the greater the chance the dates you want will have been booked by someone else.
